After several years of watching Nickeil play with Canada Elite, I decided it was time to do an interview with him. Over the Spring season I had the opportunity to watch Nickeil play throughout the AAU season in New York, Indiana and Los Angeles. Coaches from all over expressed interest on a lot of the Canada Elite players, especially Nickeil.
As one of the top players of Canada Elite, Nickeil has lead his team heavily on offence with points, assists, etc. as well as defensively on the court. Nickeil was one out of twenty players that received a personal invitation from Stephen Curry to his development camp where he developed his skills from the 2-time League MVP. He played for Canada's National team, attended the All-America Basketball Camp, Elite 24, and many more. In addition to his on-court talent and sportsmanship, Nickeil has gained respect from coaches, parents and younger players throughout his growing basketball career.
In this interview, Nickeil spoke to me about his developing relationships with his teammates and coaches, as well as what the sport has done for him. He also thanks God for the gift of his ability to play the game. By the way, did you know he also knows how to do the laundry? Watch the interview below and listen to Nickeil explain it all for himself!
